To make it easier for team raters to rate your team, it is suggested that you post in a certain format, so that the team rater understands and/or doesn't get bored of reading/rating your team.
Firstly, please post only complete teams, please do no post your team if you have only five or less Pokemon, you've chosen the first five, it should be easy to think of another one, don't forget about nature, EV's, ability and moveset as well. Posting teams that aren't complete shows the rater that you are either too lazy or just cannot be bothered to finish your team, then why should the rater even rate your team? If you really don't know, just choose a Pokemon you think fits best and let raters know you need extra help with that certain Pokemon/slot.
Secondly, don't just post the Pokemon, nature, EV's, Ability and moveset, say why you are using that Pokemon, why you are using those EVs and moves. There should be a reason why each Pokemon is in your team anyway, so just post those reasons. This makes it easier for the rater to see what you are trying to do with your team, thus being able to help you more, and not changing your team completely.
Thirdly, please remember that you are posting your RMT for free advice. If someone gives you advice that you don't agree with, simply just say why you disagree with them, do NOT attack a rater simply because he or she has critisized your team and you don't like it. You are posting your team for it to be critisized, if you can't handle it, you shouldn't post it.
Lastly, presentation keeps the team rater interested!
Here is a good example of how you should talk about your Pokemon in your RMT.
Azelf @ Life Orb
EVs: 36HP / 252 SpAtk / 220 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Grass Knot
Comments: I use Azelf as my late game sweeper or a revenge killer, depending on the opponent's Pokemon's speed. Nasty Plot is to raise Azelf's already deadly Special Attack so that many 2HKO's turn into OHKO's. Psychic is for STAB, Flamethrower for steels and bugs that are good against Psychic, and Grass Knot is for Swampert. His EV's are to maximize Special Attack, 220 Speed EVs to outrun all unscarf'ed Gengars, rest goes into HP for a little bit more bulk. Life Orb is just for that bit of extra kick.
Now, post another five of these and you have a interesting and fun-to-rate RMT.
